TELSA 2009 Greeting Card Contest

TELSA is conducting its first ever greeting card competition in southern California. TELSA is inviting drawings from school going children in the age groups of 6 -10 and 11-15. Six winning designs, each with its creator’s name and picture, will be printed on TELSA’s 2010 greeting cards. Each winner will also receive a $50 cash award. There will be 3 cash awards in each age group. TELSA’s 2010 greeting cards can be purchased online, and at all TELSA events starting December 2009. All proceeds from the sale of the greeting cards will be used to fund projects initiated by TELSA. Your art work can be based on any one of the themes listed below.  We encourage you to create art that is best reflective of the TELSA vision.

To qualify, the participant must be school going child in the age group of 6 – 10 or 11-15 and reside in southern California.  Only one entry per child will be accepted. Winners will be announced at an upcoming TELSA event in late December.

It is recommended that the participants themselves, or their parents, watch the Marikal video on our website in order to add to/refresh their knowledge of conditions in a typical Indian village while attempting to design a card on item two above.
